Upcoming Street Closure Alerts
Starting Monday, August 3, the following closures around Barney Allis Plaza will be in effect as crews prepare to install new street signal infrastructure at adjacent intersections.
Phase I – Begins Monday, August 3, for approximately three weeks:
- 12th Street will be closed from Broadway Boulevard to Wyandotte Street.
- 12th Street eastbound from Broadway Boulevard will be open for Folly Theater traffic only.
- This will be marked by signage.
- Central Street northbound will be closed from 13th Street to 12th Street.
- Sidewalks will be open.
Phase II – Begins upon the completion of Phase I, forapproximately one-two weeks:
- 12th Street will be closed from Central Street to Baltimore Avenue.
- Northbound Central Street will be re-opened.
- Southbound Wyandotte coming from 11th Street will be open to Kansas City Marriott Downtown traffic and no thru-traffic.
- This will be marked by signage.
- Wyandotte Street will be closed from 13th to 12th Street
- Sidewalks will be open.
