Parking Information and Alternatives

The Kansas City Convention Center is located in the heart of downtown Kansas City, Missouri. All major highways feed into the downtown area providing easy access to convention and entertainment facilities. There are multiple parking options to access Convention Center facilities including the Municipal Arena, Music Hall, Grand Ballroom, Little Theatre, Conference Center and Bartle Hall.

Garages and lots are available for employee parking, residential parking, event parking and transient hourly parking. There are approximately 40,000 parking spaces in downtown Kansas City.

Reserve your spot online

Prepay for parking in one of Kansas City’s municipal garages. You can locate a parking garage and reserve a nearby parking spot in advance. Navigate to the VisitKC webpage, scroll down, and use the widget reserve your spot online. Click here for the VisitKC Parking widget.

Reserved Parking and Transit Options

RESERVED PARKING

The City of Kansas City offers reserved parking at municipal garages in the area and along the streetcar route. Click here to reserve parking at any of the City’s municipal garages.

Parking may also be purchased through third-party websites from Parking.com, ParkMobile, and limited parking through SpotHero.

RIDESHARE & ALTERNATE TRANSIT

The City in partnership with RideKC, offers the rideshare service IRIS. The service utilizes an on-demand dynamic routing model which picks up and drops off riders in locations within one quarter mile of their request. The service gets residents within a quarter mile of their destination for a minimal fee within a defined zone.

KC STREETCAR

The KC Streetcar runs through downtown from the River Market and is always free. The streetcar line runs along Main Street and riders should hop off at the 12th Street stop to reach the Kansas City Convention Center. Riders can park at Union Station and utilize the streetcar to get downtown.

RIDE KC

The City’s Prospect MAX line stops right at Municipal Auditorium along Wyandotte Street. The PMAX line is free fare and connects residents throughout the city.
